Batoke Fight Against HIV Campaign Launching 2003 - CameroonOn September 20, 2003, WOPA actively participated in the launching of the Batoke Village campaign to fight against HIV/AIDS.

Numerous other workshops organized on rubbing oil, liquid pepper production, sardine preparations, production of handbags, table napkins etc.

General Participation in Community Events

In Kribi town south province, WOPA participated in a march in celebration of the 2006 International Day of Women.

In collaboration with the delegation of women's affairs and the Limbe Women's Forum, WOPA participated in a march in Limbe on March 8, 2005 in celebration of the 2005 International Day of Women.

2003 March - Women's DayOn October 15, 2004 WOPA Led a seminar on Rural Women's Day in Bakingili. Additionally, WOPA participated and supported many exhibitions and seminars organised by various NGO's.

Participated in activities celebrating the 2003 World Rural Women's Day, the International Day of the Woman, World AIDS Day, and the World Day of the Prevention of Child Abuse.

Apprenticeship/Internships

2006 - Six girls were placed in workshops for training (3 for sewing and 3 for hairdressing)
2005 - Ten girls were placed in sewing training centers
2005 - Eight girls were placed in hair dressing centers

Assistance with Micro-Enterprising

2 girls have received sewing machines to open their own workshops.
5 widows and 2 girls have received micro – loans to start a small business.

Agricultural Promotion

WOPA helped organize five local Women's Groups:

Protecting the Rights of Children

In September 2005, WOPA sponsored 11 children in need in secondary and 8 children in primary in Limbe and Batoke.

Conference on Child Abuse Prevention - Limbe, CameroonOn November 19, 2004, WOPA held 2 days of educational activities in private and public schools of Limbe to address issues surrounding child trafficking, the impact of HIV and AIDS on youth, and the advantages and disadvantages of the internet.

In commemoration of the November 19th, 2003 World Day on the Prevention of Child Abuse, WOPA organised a conference at salle des fetes  cite Sonara in Limbe to draw attention to the existence  and the dangers of child abuse.
